Cassville, Mo.- A teenager from Marionville who was charged with forcibly raping a girl at a part last year in Lawrence County has been found not guilty.
Lawrence County Prosecutor Don Trotter said Hunter Kuoppamaki, who is now 17 , gave the girl alcohol and then raped her at a party in his hometown last April.
The girl told investigators that Kuoppamaki and another boy, Dillon Scott Carpenter,  forcibly restrained her, removed her clothing and sexually assaulted her at 24935 Lawrence County Road 2210.   The girl says after she was raped the boys took her underwear as a trophy. Two witnesses told investigators that Carpenter “was in possession of the victim’s underwear after the rape occurred.”
After a day-and-a-half bench trial in Barry County, where the case was moved on a change of venue, Judge Charles Curless found Kuoppomaki not guilty.
